IPL Photofacial Treatment

Long Term Results

An IPL Photofacial is a non-invasive procedure that utilizes intense pulsed light to diminish the visibility of sun damage, age spots, wrinkles, large pores, and other skin imperfections. It also aids in evening out skin tone and enhancing overall skin clarity. During the treatment, pulses of light are directed onto the skin, which are absorbed by damaged cells, causing them to break down and eventually be reabsorbed into the body. This process helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, rosacea (calms the flushes), acne maintenance (destroy acne-causing bacteria, treat swollen acne lesions, and stop overactive oil glands in the skin) and other skin imperfections. Additionally, IPL Photofacials can tighten the skin and improve overall texture and tone.

The face, chest, and back of the hands are the most commonly treated areas, as they are frequently exposed to sunlight and its harmful effects. IPL Photofacial has a cumulative effect for long-term results; the more regularly it is performed, the better the results over time. Most individuals maintain 3-4 treatments per year to keep their complexion looking refreshed as part of their regular maintenance after the initial treatments.

During your free consultation (mandatory for this procedure), I will carefully assess your face, neck, chest, back and hands to detect sun damage, vascular concerns, and pigment irregularities that can be effectively treated with IPL therapy. Several IPL treatments are necessary to achieve gradual, natural-looking improvements with minimal risk. It is recommended to have 1-4 sessions spaced one month apart for optimal results. However, every individual is unique, and the treatment schedule will be tailored to that particular individual's requirements.
